CALVIN A. BELL, 86, TOMAH -
Calvin A. Bell, age 86 of Tomah, and formerly of Camp Douglas, died on Monday August 6, 2007 at the Tomah Memorial Hospital.

He was the son of Ernest and Katherine (Quist) Bell, born on June 3, 1921, in the township of Orange. Cal married Norma E. Truber of Elroy on February 2, 1946, and together they raised one daughter, Darcey Jo.
During their early years of farming in the mid to late 40’s, he and Norma ran Bell’s Dairy on their farm in rural Camp Douglas. They moved to New Lisbon, but returned to farming in Camp Douglas a few years later. Cal drove the fuel oil delivery truck for the Camp Douglas Co-op in the late 70’s and early 80’s. He was a member of the Camp Douglas United Methodist Church and a former member of the Camp Douglas Lions Club. Norma lost her 8-year battle with cancer in 1984.
Cal moved to Sauk City, Wisconsin, in 1986 after marrying his second wife, Anita (Jeanne), where his hobbies included making macramé chairs and jewelry Christmas trees. He and Anita have lived in Tomah, Wisconsin since 1996.
He is survived by his wife, Anita (Jeanne) of Tomah, his daughter Darcey (Mike) Benz, of Hustler, a grandson, Greg, of Tomah, a granddaughter, Lacey, of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, a sister Alice Kelley of Florida, and two sisters-in-law, Helen Bell of Camp Douglas, and Margaret Bell of Wisconsin Rapids. Cal is also survived by many other nephews, nieces, and cousins through out the area. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Chester, Norman, and Edward, and sisters Irmagard Schultz, and Mildred Visgar.
Funeral services were at the United Methodist Church in Camp Douglas Friday August 10, 2007, 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Stephanie Taylor Homann officiating. Friends and relatives were invited to call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the church. Service was held at 1:00 p.m. Burial was in the Hustler Cemetery.
The Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, Tomah is assisting the family with the arrangements.
